The ICAO authorities have established different levels of competence on the English language for their international operations.

Pilots have to obtain a level four in Aviation English that the authorities have established with the purpose of avoiding accidents caused by the misinterpretation between the air traffic controller and the pilot.

GTA´s English Aviation course is designed to prepare the candidate to reach a score of ICAO level 4 or above. 

Aviation English is a new course in  English language communication skills for pilots and air traffic controllers, helping students to achieve and maintain a Level 4 according to the ICAO requirements. 

Course Layout and Components

The course has been prepared to train the pilot in all the ICAO parameters: Simple or general English, Aeronautical English Pronunciation, interactions that require immediate response, vocabulary, grammar, comprehension, and verbal fluency.

We use MCMILLAN material: student’s book and CD’s. 

Telephone Tutoring

This is the best solution for working pilots.  It allows complete time and place flexibility.  The classes can be either done through the conventional telephone or through computer voice communication programs such as Skype or VoipBuster.  

Packages include: material (MACMILLAN) student’s book with CD’s and 8 sessions of phone classes. Each class is 30 minutes.  All the instructors are native English and American speakers.   

Optional:  you can buy MACMILLAN extra CD’s. You can also take the official ICAO exam in Madrid or your nearest location.
